Learning, Practicing and Working Together
HPSN Asia Pacific 2012 was held at Chang Gung University of Science And Technology, co-hosted byKYS Technology and Taiwan Society of Emergency Medicine on October 27th and 28th 2012 in Taoyuan, Taiwan.
This interprofessional conference celebrated the latest innovations and best practices in healthcare simulation today. This year the conference theme was Learning, Practicing and Working Together. In healthcare today, teams of nurses, doctors, pharmacists, paramedics, dentists, physiotherapists and all allied health professions work together to ensure patient safety is at the center of care. This conference brought together these healthcare professionals from across the Asia Pacific region and the world to debate, discuss, explore, share and network how we can learn, practice and work together during this interactive conference. One conference highlight was the METI Cup, where professionals competed in small teams. These teams cared for an acute patient using an interactive human patient simulator.
We welcomed poster and oral presentations and interactive workshops given by leading experts in healthcare simulation from all healthcare professions, whether working in hospital, community or academic settings. This year, the conference had English and Chinese as the two main languages.
