16-18, October, 2014
In it’s 9th year, this interactive conference brought together medicine, dentistry, nurses, midwives, allied health professionals and simulation technologists from practice and academic settings to share, network and debate new and best pactices in simulation education. This year’s theme reflected upon how simulation education has become the norm in many healthcare education settings in the classroom, hospital, community, disaster and military arenas. Highlights this year include dynamic keynote speakers, master classes from leading educators, a simulation technology pre-conference session and an opportunity to meet CAE’s new Maternal Foetal Simulator.
This year we were especially excited to be co-hosting the conference with the Acibadem Unviersity. Completed in 2013 the Centre of Advanced Simulation and Education (CASE Website) is one of the most spectacular education centres of its kind anywhere in the world (see video below). The breathtaking scale of the centre is matched in its useage since opening its doors to students in October 2013 and is at testament to the vision of the university. Encompassing a state of the art auditorium, wet labs, simulation suites, virtual OR, ICU, ward areas and an ambulance (on hydraulics) all housed in the same facility.
On behalf of all of those involved CAE Healthcare would like to thank the Acibadem University for being such gracious hosts and allowing everyone to experience one of the worlds finest simulation centres.
