Thank you to everyone who made the journey to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and joined us at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort and Spa for HPSN World 2017! Click here to fill out your conference evaluations for CEU credit.
At HPSN World 2017, we celebrated not only the 20th anniversary of the Human Patient Simulation Network, but also what it means to “Practice with a Purpose.” The conference theme of deliberate practice in simulation permeated all our activities, lending cogent focus to three days of symposia, hands-on workshops, concurrent sessions and numerous learning opportunities to explore how we may advance and improve patient care through simulation training.
From an eye-opening keynote by the Orlando Regional Medical Center’s emergency response team about caring for victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting, to a ‘masked’ simulation in sensitive patient care and a mass casualty/disaster drill scenario, HPSN World 2017 charted new ground in exploring the full spectrum of simulation’s relevance in healthcare and the life-impacting benefits of practice towards the acquisition of skills mastery.
But we also made time to enjoy one another’s company; networking and making new friends. Many took part in the HPSN “Putting with a Pro” personalized golf lesson opportunity. Our Inside Sales Team welcomed attendees with a “Putting with a Purpose” golf challenge, while our Customer Service Team held an exciting raffle at their information table. Our unique Party with a Porpoise Welcome Reception was a complete blast, thanks to the partying porpoises, the live band, and everyone who danced the night away. We’re especially thankful to all those who participated in our “Hole-in-One” corporate fundraiser to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project; who engaged in the HPSN World 2017 Exhibitor Passport Contest and the Twitter Selfie Challenge (congratulations to the winners!).
